12 Hour Crop Session

Just a couple of pages I completed yesterday at my 12 hour crop session. FUN DAY!! Can not wait for the next one.
I am sure Terry will have her hands full and days too as it was such a success and I can see more people coming to these all day crop-a-thons.
Left with five pages. Three done, One needs journalling and another needs a lot of stitching (well I think it does, LOL!) which gives me something to do this week!

I got accepted on the Life Preservers Design Team!
http://www.lifepreserversclub.com/
YAH! They are an Amercian Scrapbooking Club which sell adorable and affordable monthly scrapbooking kits.

Just got to get a nice black & white photo of myself and a bio done up.
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Weather here is turning grey so it will be another heater day!

Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally Friday!!! Yah!!! Got a busy weekend planned! Got an all day scrap-a-thon at Crop-Till-ya-Drop 10am till 10pm and am just getting all my stuffed and photos organised for tomorrow. Going to work on some SM Masters ideas and an album for my friends wedding! (Have not found an album for mine yet, let alone done half the layouts for it!)
Anyways, other than that I am still applying for Design Team Calls that come up. So far no luck, but have managed to score a few monthly guest designer spots both here in OZ and in the states, so it is a start!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Completed Junkitz layouts

Finally completed my entries for the Internation Junkitz Draft and am emailing them through right now! Wish I could upload a sneak preview but that is against the rules!

Anyway I have finished my Inner Demon layout and am very pleased with the results.
Bloody ribbon on the flowers keeps coming up though, need stronger double sided tape!

I decided not to go with the poem.

Finally tracked SM Vol 7 no:10!

Finally tracked down the latest copy of SM with all the details and entry form for SM Masters 2006! Got some ideas brewing already! Hope that is a good sign?

Great edition, a few familiar faces (the scrappers childrens faces) in there that I know. Rach Axton, Racheal Brown (love her little boy with his blue eyes and red hair! Just so adorable!) and Katie Toland.

Better get to work and print out some photos. Got a whole heap of patterned paper earlier this week and I plan to put it all to very good use.

Happy Scrapping (housework can wait!)

Weekend Scrap-a-thon

The weather here is going to be pretty lousy this weekend so I am announcing a scrap-a-thon! LOL!
Hopefully I will finish my final layout for the Junkitz comp and the newsagents will have the latest SM so I can view details regarding the SM Masters.
Time permitting and inspiration striking I may enter.

Junkitz International Designer Draft

I have decided to enter the Junkitz Designer Draft under the International category and have just one more layout to do using their products.
I love Junkitz and they have pretty much a themed patterned paper to match any photo!
But, why is it that the last one always seems to be the hardest?

Anyways, once they have been submitted and the competition is over, I will post up my layouts.

Inner Demon

I borrowed a mirror today from Terry (Crop Till Ya Drop) for a self portrait I have been wanting to take for ages now. I am very pleased with the result even if it is not competely focused. I am scared though of how EVIL I look in the mirror! LOL!

The photo in the mirror symbolizes my inner demon, I am sure you know the one!
The negative and evil sabotaging side of me. The me on the outside is trying to ignore the Bitch in the mirror!

I have found the perfect poem for this photo! Have to scrap it!
It was written by my Aunty Gae a few years back and just seems to fit the theme.

8/12/97

My poem about Cristina
From Aunty Gae

Cristina's Inner Demons

As the minutes float on by
You sit and wonder why
Life seems to drift on by
With every flicker of your eye.

As time just drifts away
You search your yesterdays
While pondering should you go or should you stay
Your dreams await your memories of just another day.

Deep in your soul you know
Just where you have to go
As you have always known
Your destiny awaits, as it is always so.

Pretty deep!!! Isn't it.

Just got to come up with some ideas on how to scrap it now.

Joining everyone one else in the world of real blogging

Even though I do have a MSN blog I though it was time I dedicated one just for my two favourite obsessions! Scrapbooking and Digital Photography. Also I like this set up alot better than the msn one (which I can not always sign into!)

A Little About Myself:

My name is Cristina, my friends call me Crissy. I have been scrapbooking for just over a year and a half now (will make 2 years in September) and am totally loving it.
I have always been good at taking photos just with an ordinary film camera or disposable, but now with my Panasonic FZ5 Lumix digital camera I am so loving pushing the creativity barriers!

I got married earlier this year to the man of my dreams Scott and we have 3 very healthy and furry dogs!
I am also a scrapping forum and gallery junkie and am online daily!
So many obsessions, so little time!
